Preserving Dignity Telangana

In the rural outskirts of Telangana, people who have fallen completely out of the social safety net live due to chronic illnesses (such as the long-term effects of leprosy) and their old age. These seniors often no longer have family members or live in isolated communities because they are stigmatized due to their physical impairments. Without external help, they are unable to secure their daily existence.

A Dignified Retirement

Our local partner in Telangana operates a social facility that offers these marginalized seniors a safe retreat. Here, it is not just about mere survival, but about enabling those affected to have a retirement in dignity, safety, and without hunger. The project focuses on three core areas:

• Food Security: Daily full catering with nutritious meals specially tailored to the needs of elderly and sick people.
• Hygiene & Medical: Regular basic care, infection prevention through clean clothing, and provision of hygiene articles.
• Clothing & Protection: Distribution of seasonal clothing and bed linen for protection against extreme weather.

Your Help Matters

The residents of this facility are completely dependent on external support to meet their basic needs. Your donation flows directly into the procurement of food packages (rice, lentils, oil), basic medical care, and clothing. By meeting these existential needs, we give these people not only nourishment but also their dignity and hope back. The project is accompanied long-term by our local partners, who also contribute local resources.
