Baptize | Agape for Nations

Baptism is far more than a religious ritual for us—it is the visible expression of an inner change and a conscious step into a new life with Jesus Christ. Following the biblical model, we baptize people who have decided to leave their old lives behind and become part of God's global family.

Obedience

Jesus Himself gave us the command to make disciples and baptize them. It is an act of obedience and a public confession of faith.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

New Birth

In baptism, immersion symbolizes the burial of the old life marked by sin, and emerging symbolizes the resurrection to a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)

Identity

Through baptism, we become one with Christ. We now carry His identity and are called to walk in the newness of life.

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)
